Diamond Aircraft and Falcon Aviation Engineering have expanded their strategic partnership by launching a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Malta International Airport. The hangar was opened during a formal event attended by Prime Minister Robert Abela and senior Maltese government officials.

The facility will support the training aircraft of the European Pilot Academy and act as a regional base for servicing Diamond Aircraft across Europe. Falcon, which joined Diamond’s global service partner network in 2022, plans a further €2.5 million investment.

“This investment marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide world-class maintenance and training infrastructure,” says Falcon and EPA COO Matthew Rota.

Diamond’s after-sales manager Robert Carstairs described the development as a sign of strong cooperation. “Today’s milestone is a testament to what can be achieved through dedication and collaboration,” he says.

Carstairs also shared recent service statistics, including record-low AOG rates and resolution times under two days. He revealed plans for a Global After Sales Diamond Workshop in Austria in September 2025, which will bring together service partners from across the world.
