Nomad Technics, the maintenance division of Nomad Aviation AG based in Switzerland, has successfully conducted a 144-month inspection and a full cabin refurbishment on an Embraer Legacy 650 aircraft. This rigorous inspection is among the most detailed for the Legacy 650, demanding specialized tools, equipment and deep knowledge of the airframe.

The project at Nomad Technics’ Basel facility involved a thorough corrosion inspection of both primary and secondary aircraft structures, functional and operational tests of systems and updates to meet Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives. Additionally, the aircraft’s landing gear was completely overhauled.

The cabin refurbishment was executed in partnership with F/List, a premier aircraft interior company. Customizations made to the client’s specifications included full seat re-upholstery, re-veneering of all woodwork and the installation of new stone flooring, countertops in the galley and lavatory, new carpet, ceiling, sidewall panels and plating of all metal parts.

Thomas Gierlich, CEO of Nomad Technics, says: “The successful completion of this demanding 144-month inspection on the Embraer Legacy 650 is another great milestone for Nomad Technics, which will enable us to further enhance our capabilities to offer and execute maintenance and cabin refurbishments. We are very proud of our Embraer maintenance team and the entire organisation behind it who have been performing extremely well. It will be our great pleasure to welcome owners and operators of Embraer, Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier business jets to our Basel facility to demonstrate our highly skilled VVIP aircraft maintenance and refurbishment services.”
