Omni Helicopters International (OHI) has welcomed the delivery of an Airbus H175 helicopter, now part of its fleet for offshore transportation operations in Latin America. The aircraft, provided on lease by GD Helicopter Finance (GDHF), strengthens OHI’s presence as the region’s largest provider of air mobility and delivery solutions.

Renowned for its flexibility, performance and cost-effectiveness, the H175 will enable OHI to access 100 per cent of Brazil’s offshore installations.

OHI Group’s COO Duncan Moore says: “GDHF is very pleased to have delivered this high-technology, cost-effective, multi-mission, super-medium helicopter on lease to Omni. GDHF has had an extremely busy first year, and this H175 is actually the fourth helicopter type we have now delivered on lease to Omni. We are grateful to Omni for its continued trust and confidence in GDHF, and we look forward to building our relationship with it.”

The delivery further solidifies the partnership between the two companies, and the H175 will join an established fleet and contribute to OHI’s goal of continuously improving service and sustainability in offshore operations.

“The H175 offers a strong mix of flexibility, performance and cost-effectiveness. Omni is very pleased with its performance in service so far,” adds Moore. “It is both a potential successor to our existing heavy fleet and a key enabler in our quest to improve our sustainability footprint.”
