Daher has delivered the first new Kodiak 100 Series III utility aircraft to Polish businessman Mariusz Saran, who was represented at the handover by Piotr Lasek, whose Plane4you company specialises in facilitating new and pre-owned aircraft transactions on behalf of clients. Lasek explains that Saran learned to fly three years ago and soon set himself the goal of acquiring an aircraft to facilitate his visits to customers and partners across Europe.

"When Mariusz Saran thought about a solution for his business travels, he wanted an aircraft that he could fly by himself that opened up access to the many grass strips in Poland," says Lasek. "He soon was convinced of the Kodiak's qualities and initially wanted to purchase a pre-owned Kodiak 100 from Rheinland Air Service, the authorised Daher distributor in Austria and Germany. In the end he chose to buy a new aircraft in order to benefit from all the advantages, such as the four year maintenance coverage."

Saran was aboard the aircraft for its ferry flight from Daher's Sandpoint, Idaho production site in the US to Rheinland Air Service's location in Monchengladbach, Germany, where the official handover took place.

The Kodiak 100 Series III incorporates enhancements and standard features for improved flight safety, greater cabin comfort, augmented operational capabilities from both unimproved strips and on water with floats, as well as upgraded quality and more comprehensive maintenance coverage.
