Frey to advance global commercial strategies at ASQS
The global ASQS team warmly congratulates Jonathan Frey on his new position and looks forward to collaborating with him to shape the future of the company.
Chief commercial officer Jonathan Frey.

Integrated safety and quality management software provider ASQS has promoted Jonathan Frey to chief commercial officer. Frey's successful career path at the company has been marked by consistent advancement and a proven track record of achievements. He has demonstrated exceptional customer support and key account management capabilities, as well as exemplary leadership and management skills in sales and business development across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

He began his journey at the ASQS headquarters in Vienna, Austria in 2017 with the goal of creating a project management team to respond to the company's challenge of supporting a growing number of large customers with complex system implementations. Between 2020 and 2022, Frey served as director of business development Asia Pacific, heading the ASQS Thailand subsidiary. He played a pivotal role in propelling the company's expansion across Southeast Asia, Oceania and the Middle East. Notably, his time in Bangkok was marked by the significant expansion and solidification of the Thailand team, establishing a strong foundation for the company's presence in the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern regions. His strategic vision played a key role in positioning the company for long-term success and paving the way for further growth.

After his return from Bangkok in August 2022, Frey assumed the management of business development and sales initiatives in the Americas, working closely with the team at ASQS Safety and Quality Solutions, the company's subsidiary in Calgary, Canada.

In his new position as CCO, he will leverage his extensive strategic insights and proven sales experience to further advance ASQS's global commercial strategies and will work closely with all departments to drive sustainable organisational growth and continue building on ASQS's reputation for providing quality software and excellent service levels to global aviation clientele.

COO Eva Lederhilger says: "Jonathan is a great addition to the C-level team and, with his appointment, I am confident in the continued growth and success of ASQS on a global scale."

CTO Günther Syrowatka adds: "I am very happy to congratulate Jonathan on his well-deserved appointment as CCO. His passion, drive and unwavering commitment to excellence have always been an inspiration, and I am excited to continue working alongside him as he embarks on this new chapter at ASQS."

To further drive global growth, Frey will lead initiatives to improve communication and collaboration between ASQS' international offices in Vienna, Bangkok and Calgary, while expanding sales activities. He will also oversee the contract management team and ensure that the agreement processes are seamlessly integrated within the sales cycle to promote smooth customer journeys.

"Jonathan's outstanding management abilities, strategic insights and profound understanding of both our organisation and the wider industry make him the perfect fit for this pivotal role. He will not only oversee our global sales organisation but also ensure seamless coordination across our offices worldwide. I am fully confident in his capability to accelerate ASQS's global growth trajectory even further," says co-founder and CEO Günther Schindl. "I look forward to seeing ASQS reach new heights through Jonathan's engagement and continuing to set new standards in aviation safety and quality management."

Frey adds: "I am deeply honoured and grateful for the opportunity to serve as chief commercial officer. A chance to grow and learn with a company in the way I have been fortunate to experience over the last years is rare, and I am humbled by the continued trust placed in me. At the same time, I am excited to continue the collaboration with our exceptional global team, leveraging our collective talents to drive growth and innovation. I am convinced that together we will unlock new opportunities and continue our remarkable success in the industry."
