Amaro adds second PC-24 to its Catarina fleet
Its first PC-24 was so well received in Brazil that Amaro decided to purchase another. The aircraft landed in São Paulo just recently and will be available for charter.
This second PC-24 brings the Amaro fleet size to three aircraft.

Amaro Aviation has added a second Pilatus PC-24 to its fleet. The company took delivery of the versatile Swiss light jet at the Catarina Executive airport in São Roque, São Paulo following a flight from Denver, Colorado. The aircraft had been manufactured in Europe and taken to the US for customisation of its interior.

The company was founded in 2020 and received its operating certificate in December last year from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). Its fleet now consists of two PC-24s and a PC-12 NGX turboprop, in addition to two more managed aircraft. The company has also purchased an Embraer Phenom 300E, with delivery scheduled for mid-2024.

“Our first PC-24 was well received in the Brazilian market thanks to features such as the largest cabin in its category. We hope to repeat the success with this second unit,” says COO João Mellão.

The Pilatus PC-24 will begin air charter operations in the next few days, and will also be used within Amaro’s fractional programmes.

The PC-24 combines the versatility of a turboprop and the performance of a light jet. It can carry up to ten passengers and two pilots, and can operate on limited grass and dirt runways. It is possible to certify the aircraft for single-pilot operations.

“One of the differentials of this model is the excellent performance on short runways and its range of more than 3,760 km, combining excellent runway performance and cruising speed”, says CEO Marcos Amaro.
