Second Alsim simulator is en route to Malaysian academy
Simulator training may not be a panacea for expensive pilot training, but having a robust ground training solution makes a huge cost difference. Malaysian Flying Academy is commissioning its second Alsim simulator.
Alsim has made a second sale to the Malaysian Flying Academy, an AL250 simulator.

The Malaysian Flying Academy, a flight school located in Melaka, has purchased its second Alsim simulator, an AL250. It purchased its first, and ALX, back in 2018.

The AL250 simulator addresses initial phase training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is a SEP/MEP reconfigurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit instrumentation for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation, and more than 80 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.

Malaysian Flying Academy accountable manager Captain Roy says: “While simulator training is not a panacea for the problem of pilot training and the affordability of such training in the aviation industry, having a robust ground training solution makes a huge cost difference. At Malaysian Flying Academy, we have the advantage of having not one, not two, but three fully certified and approved flight and navigation procedures trainers at our facility. We are pleased to announce the commissioning of our second Alsim simulator, an AL250, which replaces one of our older simulators. The flexibility and reliability of our existing Alsim trainer and the quality of support provided by Alsim have ensured that we look no further when it comes to upgrading our capabilities.”

Alsim sales account manager Nicolas Fabriès adds: ”We are very glad that Malaysian Flying Academy has once again chosen Alsim. It's been an absolute pleasure to deal with the team at MFA, and we are committed to bringing our customers the best possible training tool. We look forward to taking this long-term partnership with Malaysian Flying Academy to the next level with this new FSTD.”
