Seventh Saab 340B sits with Florida Legends
A rise in popularity means most parked Saabs have been restored to service. Legends has taken delivery of the last of an order for seven with C&L, which in turn has completed 20 Saab 340 sales in the last two years alone.

Lakeland, Florida-based Part 135 cargo operator Legends Airways has taken possession of the seventh and final Saab 340B aircraft of all order from C&L Aviation Group. The deliveries have been coming in since mid 2021 when the first aircraft arrived.

There has been a resurgence in interest in the Saab 340 during this same period, and C&L has sold over 20 aircraft, including the former fleets of Japan Air Commuter and Hokkaido Air System.

“In all my years dealing in the Saab 340 aircraft I have never seen demand for this aircraft at current levels. There has been a distinct increase in demand from both passenger and cargo operators. This has led to most parked Saab aircraft being restored to service,” says C&L CEO Chris Kilgour. “With so many customers asking for aircraft and there being low availability, the market dynamics have changed. Demand has outstripped supply, resulting in increased sale prices for the Saab.”

The Saab 340 is a versatile aircraft in either passenger or cargo configuration.

For over 25 years, C&L has been active in the aftermarket sale and support of the Saab aircraft. The company stocks Saab inventory in its globally located warehouses and provides a one-stop solution for operators at its MRO facility offering aircraft and engine sales, heavy maintenance, aircraft paint, avionics upgrades, structural modifications, engineering support and interior refurbishment.
