Jet Aviation is now offering a line maintenance service through its new hangar facility in Zurich. The facility is now authorised to perform line maintenance on a range of business aircraft, including the Gulfstream series.

Situated at Jet Aviation's Zurich North FBO, the facility will initially receive approval under an extension of the company's Basel site authorisations prior to undergoing an audit for line maintenance repair station approval by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA).

Jet Aviation expanded its Zurich operation in June 2021 via the acquisition of the former ExecuJet Zurich FBO facilities. The acquisition added a multifunctional, state of-the-art terminal for passengers and crews, a 2,500 sqm hangar adjacent to the terminal, a second near-5,000 sqm arched hangar and two approximately 5,000 sqm private ramps to the company's existing Zurich footprint.

Jet Aviation has appointed AOG engineer Michael Luethi to manage the station with the support of its global AOG team as required.

“We are delighted to extend our European MRO network to Zurich,” says VP MRO services Europe and general manager Basel Cyril Martiniere. “We saw an opportunity to better meet the needs of our clients through the strength of our MRO network, and this facility is our way of delivering the highest benefit to business aviation owners and operators in the region.”

Director of aftermarket services and AOG Stefan Verkaik adds: “Line maintenance is a fantastic complement to our base maintenance and AOG service offering in Europe. We want to ensure that our customers' experience is effortless. Establishing a line maintenance base in Zurich eases those situations when it is more difficult to move an aircraft or mechanics. Zurich is a key hub for our customers and in combination with our large footprint at the airport, it's the perfect location to further support their maintenance needs. We are now able to provide a turn-key solution, between FBO services, handling, fuelling, line maintenance, troubleshooting, aircraft servicing and pre-flight checks, all in one location.”

Jet Aviation offers base maintenance in Basel, Geneva, Vienna, Dubai and Singapore, and AOG services worldwide.
