Pampulha hangar is ideally positioned for TAM
Pampulha ended 2025 as the third busiest in Brazil for general aviation, behind only Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. With this in mind, TAM Aviacao Executiva has elected to set up shop in an important strategic market.
The VIP lounge is a sight to behold.

TAM Aviacao Executiva has inaugurated a new FBO hangar on the south apron of Pampulha airport in Belo Horizonte. The new structure marks another step in the company's operations in the capital of Minas Gerais and expands its service capacity in one of the company's strategic markets in Brazil.

TAM AE now offers a larger and more accessible facility at the south apron within the airport, next to the Pampulha Lagoon. The new space more than doubles the company's hangar capacity at Pampulha and includes a VIP lounge, meeting rooms, private parking and support areas for passengers, pilots and crew, following the service standards already offered by TAM at its other bases.

This move also opens the door to a new phase for TAM Aviacao Executiva's service centre in Belo Horizonte. The facility, located in the north apron, previously hosted different company activities but will now be exclusively dedicated to the service centre, expanding the space and capacity allocated to maintenance and technical support activities.

Belo Horizonte is part of one of the most important airport systems in the country and is experiencing a period of expansion in the Brazilian general aviation market. In 2025, the segment registered more than 1.05 million movements in Brazil, a growth of 7.3 per cent compared to the previous year, according to the 2025 Statistical Yearbook of Air Traffic released by DECEA. In the capital of Minas Gerais, this dynamism is especially reflected in Pampulha, which ended the year as the third busiest in the country for general aviation, behind only Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

The metropolitan region's air traffic importance is complemented by Belo Horizonte International Airport in Confins, which recorded 118,272 aircraft movements in 2025, a growth of 3.6 per cent, in addition to a record 13.3 million passengers in the year. This reinforces Belo Horizonte's position as an important hub for connectivity and aeronautical activity and helps support TAM AE's decision to expand its capacity at Pampulha Airport.

Leonardo Fiuza, president of TAM Aviacao Executiva, says: “Minas Gerais is a strategic market for TAM and has been part of our history for over two decades. The expansion of our structure in the capital of Minas Gerais reflects our long-term vision for the region and reinforces the company's ability to keep pace with the evolution of executive aviation in the state. It is an investment that strengthens our presence and prepares us to serve this market with ever greater structure, capacity and proximity to our clients.”

Number one in the sale of executive aircraft, TAM Aviacao Executiva was founded 65 years ago under the name Táxi Aéreo Marília. It has operated in Brazil as the exclusive representative for Cessna since 1982; for Bell since 2004; FlightSafety International since 2003; and Beechcraft since 2016. It is considered the largest sales representative of Bell and Textron Aviation in the world.

The company offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios of general aviation products and services in the country, operating in aircraft sales, training, maintenance and technical support through its service centres, as well as hangarage, FBO services, chartering, transfers, administration and aircraft management.
