Diamond completes fleet delivery to Oman academy
At the end of 2019, OAA’s vision was to become the region’s main training hub and it placed an order for eight Diamond aircraft. These have all now arrived, along with a DA42/DA40 convertible simulation trainer.
Diamond Aircraft Austria aircraft delivery manager Carl-Mikael Lang, project & key account manager Christian Schmid, team leader civil aircraft sales Reinhard Schwaiger, OAA CEO Captain Abdullah Al Bulushi, Diamond CEO Frank Zhang, OAA head of training Jose Luis, Diamond sales director Jane Wang and Oman AA head of engineering Daniel Saraiva.

CAE-authorised training centre Oman Aviation Academy (OAA) has taken delivery of six single-engine DA40 NGs and two twin-engine DA42-VIs at its Sohar airport base. This represents fulfilment of an order for eight aircraft that was signed at the end of October 2019, and came with an option to add 16 more. One Diamond DA42/DA40 convertible flight simulation training device was also installed via remote assembly.

OAA CEO Captain Abdullah Al Bulushi comments: “We are very glad to have the Diamond aircraft and the Diamond simulator at our facility in Oman.
