StandardAero celebrates three years of support for Safran
StandardAero was chosen by Safran Power Units to be the exclusive maintenance and repair support service for its SPU300 APUs, accessories and line-replacement units under its PowerCare maintenance contracts.

StandardAero has celebrated its third anniversary as the exclusive Safran Power Units Level III certified maintenance and repair centre for the SPU300 auxiliary power unit. It equips the Bombardier Global 7500 long-range business jet.

It was chosen by Safran in September 2018, and supports the APU from its 154,000 sq ft turbine engine repair facility in Maryville, Tennessee. It provides maintenance and repair support for SPU300 APUs, accessories and line-replacement units under PowerCare maintenance service contracts with Safran, and also supports customers not covered under PowerCare contracts with time and material services.

StandardAero also offers airframe service and maintenance for the Global 7500, performing everything from minor repairs to major alterations, including paint and interior completions.

“The team here at Maryville is proud to support Safran Power Units and its SPU300 customers as the Level III CMRC for the SPU300 APU,” says Randy Mengel, VP and GM of StandardAero's Maryville facility. “We are honoured to have been entrusted by Safran Power Units with this authorisation, and are committed to delivering operators of the Global 7500 with exceptional service and delivered quality.”
