StandardAero has completed significant upgrades to the paint hangar facilities at its aircraft service centre at Abraham Lincoln airport in Springfield, Illinois. In addition to enhancing paint services for business aviation operators, StandardAero is expanding its paint technician workforce at the facility, leading to improved turnaround times for customers.
The business provides CompleteCare support for business jet operators, as a one-stop shop for heavy aircraft maintenance, Gogo and Starlink wi-fi installations, refurbishment and engine services. The company offers standard and custom upgrade paint design and application services for Bombardier Challenger and Global, Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream aircraft.
“StandardAero Springfield's reputation for world-class business aircraft paint services is well-known, and the completion of this project ensures customers can enjoy the highest level of paint service quality for decades to come,” states David Pearman, vice president and general manager of StandardAero Springfield.
The Springfield aircraft service centre, specialising in aircraft modification services for more than 30 years, features a dedicated 62,000 sq ft paint hangar established in 1998. It recently reopened its paint shop after critical upgrades, including air-handling, pressurisation and filtration system replacements.
“Our team applies hand-painting techniques to custom designs, and rather than buffing out paint imperfections, we choose to sand and repaint for the best final product,” Pearman goes on. “It's the precision workmanship that sets StandardAero Springfield apart and keeps customers returning for their painting needs.”
The Springfield site is currently hiring paint technicians to join its paint shop team.
