MRO Services Group adds radome test cell
The capabilities of the facility will aid in testing repaired and overhauled radomes before returning them to service. The test cell increases MRO's offerings to cover engine nacelles and flight control structures.

GA Telesis' MRO Services Group has introduced a transmissivity test cell for repairing and overhauling aircraft radomes. The radome maintenance will be performed at its FAA and EASA-approved composite and aerostructures repair facility near Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport in Florida. The test cell is capable of testing a range of OEM platforms including all Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer and Gulfstream aircraft models.

The composite facility overhauls and repairs composites and large metallic structures. This test cell increases MRO Services Group offerings to cover engine nacelles, flight control structures and a recently added second 37' autoclave.

“This new capability is critical in testing repaired and overhauled radomes before returning them to service, setting GA Telesis apart in the aftermarket segment of composites,” says Pastor Lopez, president of MRO Services: “Our engineering team formulated a design plan and executed it well.”
