Oestern should be a great fit for Elliott avionics sales
Josh Oestern started his aviation career at Elliott in 2008 as an entry-level avionics technician, and quickly advanced to hold positions such as tech level two, tech level three, project lead and crew chief.
Josh Oestern will manage sales of Elliott Aviation's avionics programmes at its facilities in Moline, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Des Moines, Iowa; and Atlanta, Georgia.

US MRO Elliott Aviation has promoted Josh Oestern to avionics sales manager. Oestern was most recently a project manager for Elliott Aviation's MRO services at its headquarters in Moline, Illinois. He started his aviation career at Elliott in 2008 as an entry-level avionics technician, and quickly advanced to hold positions such as tech level two, tech level three, project lead and crew chief. He was promoted to project manager in 2018 and managed large MRO projects, including avionics, paint, interior, maintenance and accessories. Oestern has experience installing and managing major retrofits, having personally been involved in more than 340 of the company's over 400 turbine avionics programmes, including Elliott's Garmin G1000 NXi, Garmin G5000 and Collins Aerospace's Pro Line 21 modernisation programmes.

Under the leadership of the director of avionics sales, he will manage sales of Elliott Aviation's avionics programmes at its facilities in Moline, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Des Moines, Iowa; and Atlanta, Georgia.

“Josh has tremendous experience in all aspects of avionics including managing major avionics retrofits, avionics installation and troubleshooting,” says Bill Forbes, director of avionics sales. “His background in both management and real-world installation make him a great fit to help customers assess and solve their avionics needs.”
