Flightstar expands maintenance ops with additional hangar
The facility will house Flightstar's fleet of managed aircraft and free up an existing storage hangar for maintenance operations. Construction should be completed by the end of this year.
Plans for the construction of Flightstar Hangar 11.

University of Illinois-Willard airport-based MRO Flightstar Corp is to construct a new aircraft storage hangar.

Designated as Hangar 11, the facility will house its fleet of managed aircraft and free up an existing storage hangar for maintenance operations. The reallocation effectively doubles the space dedicated to aircraft maintenance operations to address current and future maintenance demands. Upon completion, Hangar 11 will add 28,000 sq ft of hangar capacity at the airport, bringing Flightstar's total managed hangar area to over 142,000 sq ft.

"We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our campus with the construction of this new aircraft storage hangar," says president William Giannetti. "This addition allows us to streamline our existing infrastructure while continuing to provide exceptional services for our clients."

Infrastructure development is underway, with hangar construction slated to follow immediately. The project should reach completion by Q4 of 2024.
