Avflight has opened a new facility at Falcon Field airport in Mesa, Arizona. Avflight Mesa cut the ribbon on the facility at the end of June while hosting the Arizona Business Aviation Association's in-person meeting.

The development includes a 5,000 sq ft FBO terminal, more than 500 sq ft of leasable office space and 11,000 sq ft of hangar space with plans to expand to accommodate a growing customer base at the Mesa airport.

The FBO terminal features a comfortable, modern aesthetic typical of the Avflight brand and includes all the luxuries that travellers have come to expect: pilot and passenger lounges, snooze rooms, showers, a kitchen, a flight planning room and a conference room. Its convenient location on the airport field allows for direct access from road to ramp with ample parking space for streamlined travel.

“Our team is honoured to serve as a premier gateway to Mesa and the greater Phoenix region,” says Garrett Hain, Avflight's VP of finance. “When we moved onto the field in December, we sought to bring our passion for aviation and comprehensive knowledge of aviation services, backed by the resources afforded by a network of 23 premier FBOs, to the FFZ field. Our goal was, and continues to be, to build on the foundation of Falcon Field Airport's offerings with new facilities and a dedication to customer care. We're here to be a true, trusted partner, dedicated to supporting the airport's growing customer base with first-class services and amenities.”

Avflight established its operation at Falcon Field in December 2020 in the existing facilities it acquired from Falcon Executive Aviation before moving to its current location across the field. As a full-service FBO, Avflight Mesa offers 24-hour fuelling services (including jet fuel and Avgas), oxygen service, aircraft parking, courtesy transportation, rental cars, computerised weather and professional concierge services. As an Avfuel-branded location, Avflight Mesa offers competitive pricing and transaction ease with Avfuel Contract Fuel and lucrative rewards with AVTRIP.

Conveniently located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, Avflight Mesa is approximately 30 minutes to Scottsdale and Phoenix, and approximately 20 minutes to Tempe and downtown Mesa. The FBO also provides the closest fly-in option for the Chicago Cubs' training facility at Sloan Park and area attractions and major corporations.
