Avflight has grand plans for Falcon Field
While Falcon Executive Aviation will retain its maintenance, charter and flight school businesses at KFFZ, Avflight will establish its new FBO business out of the acquired facilities, including a 15,000 sq ft hangar.
Located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, Avflight Mesa is approximately 30 minutes to Scottsdale and Phoenix, and approximately 20 minutes to Tempe and downtown Mesa.

Avflight Corporation has added its 23rd FBO, Avflight Mesa, by acquiring facilities from Falcon Executive Aviation at Falcon Field airport in Mesa, Arizona. “The addition of Avflight Mesa provides a strong presence for the Avflight network in a thriving southwestern US market,” says Garrett Hain, Avflight’s VP of finance. “This strategic acquisition will connect our loyal customer base to major businesses, entertainment and tourism in the greater Phoenix region. We are proud to bring our expertise and passion for aviation to FFZ to serve as a premier gateway to this vibrant community.”

As a full-service FBO, Avflight Mesa offers 24-hour fuelling services including jet fuel and avgas, oxygen service, aircraft parking, courtesy transportation, rental cars, computerised weather and professional concierge services. The FBO will be an Avfuel-branded location, offering competitive pricing and transaction ease with Avfuel Contract Fuel and lucrative rewards with AVTRIP.

While Falcon Executive Aviation will retain its maintenance, charter and flight school businesses at KFFZ, Avflight will establish its new FBO business out of the acquired facilities, including a building with 15,000 sq ft of hangar and office space, an additional facility with 2,000 sq ft of office space, an additional 12,000 sq ft hangar built in 2018 and brand new fuel storage tanks installed in October 2020.

With an eye toward expansion, Avflight ultimately plans to move its operation to a new FBO facility across the field in May 2021. The development, already under construction, includes a 5,000 sq ft office and 11,000 sq ft hangar with the potential for a total of 60,000 sq ft of hangar space to accommodate a growing customer base at the Mesa airport.

The new FBO facility will have a comfortable, modern aesthetic and will include all the luxuries that travellers have come to expect: pilot and passenger lounges, snooze rooms, showers, a kitchen, flight planning room and conference room. For added convenience, the FBO will allow for direct access from road to ramp with ample parking space.

Located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, Avflight Mesa is approximately 30 minutes to Scottsdale and Phoenix, and approximately 20 minutes to Tempe and downtown Mesa. The FBO also provides the closest fly-in option for the Chicago Cubs’ training facility at Sloan Park and area attractions and major corporations.

Avflight operates at strategically-located airports in North America and Europe, specialising in corporate, commercial and military traffic and services. All its locations are part of the Avfuel network, offering a full array of Avfuel fuelling products and services, such as Avfuel Contract Fuel and AVTRIP rewards.
