Jet Aviation builds business in Vienna with Amira
Jet Aviation has had a presence in Vienna since September 2014 and it now employs 38 full-time staff in the region. Partnering with Amira Air enables it to offer a refurbished Global Express for charter.
The Global Express was recently refurbished in neutral tones.

Jet Aviation has announced a partnership with Amira Air, a Vienna-based aircraft operator, adding a Global Express to its managed fleet in EMEA. The recently refurbished Global Express is based in Vienna and available for charter. It accommodates up to 12 passengers and features a crew rest area to help increase duty time if needed.

Under the agreement, Jet Aviation will operate the charter aircraft under Amira Air’s AOC and exclusively manage charter sales of the business jet. Amira Air is now branded as LaudaMotion Executive but its AOC is still under Amira.

The Global Express was fully refurbished in neutral tones in 2018. With a maximum range of 5,500 nm, the passenger seats can be reconfigured to sleep up to six, making it ideal for trips to San Francisco, New York, the Caribbean Islands, Beijing, Singapore, Tokyo or Dubai.

“We are very pleased to expand our fleet and offer more choice to charter customers for long-range trips,” says Jet Aviation's Claudio Peer, senior director aircraft management and charter sales, EMEA and Asia. “As a large cabin aircraft, this Global Express offers great comfort and value to charter customers in Vienna and the region.”

Jet Aviation has acquired all joint venture shares from its partners in Vienna, making its MRO and FBO operation a fully owned Jet Aviation entity. The company in Vienna was founded in September 2014 and now has 38 full-time employees. It provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and AOG services to Cessna Citation aircraft, is a Gulfstream factory authorised service centre for G550 line maintenance, and further supports line maintenance and AOG services for Learjet 40/45/60, Challenger 604/605/650, Global 5000/6000 and Global Express aircraft.
