Jet Aviation president Jeremie Caillet has received the Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award at the fifth biennial European Living Legends of Aviation Awards in St. Wolfgang, Austria.

The award was presented by Gulfstream president Mark Burns, a Living Legends of Aviation 2026 inductee and 2024 Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader, during the ceremony at Scalaria on Lake Wolfgang on 5 September. The event, presided over by actor Morgan Freeman, also included an airshow and presentations on innovation and the future of mobility.

The Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award recognises individuals whose sustained leadership has had a significant or transformative impact on the aviation industry through strategic vision, operational excellence or long-term influence.

Caillet’s career spans aeronautical engineering, aerospace design, VIP completions and global business aviation. He was appointed president of Jet Aviation in 2024, having joined the company as engineering team leader in 2008.

He continued his career in the completions business and became vice president, completions in 2019. In 2021, Caillet was appointed senior vice president, regional operations EMEA, with responsibility for operational efficiency and performance across Europe and the Middle East, before becoming president two and a half years later.

A native of France, Caillet earned a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Ecole Superieure des Techniques Aeronautiques et de Construction Automobile in 2005, followed by a master’s degree in aircraft design from Linkoping University in 2006. He also supports business aviation through industry bodies and partnerships.

The award follows the induction of Jet Aviation’s longest-serving employee, Elie Zelouf, into the European Living Legends of Aviation in September 2024. Zelouf was recognised following a 72-year career in the industry.
