Western ready to support LifePort operators
LifePort has been around since 1990 and manufactures medical equipment for aircraft of every size up to Boeing 737s. Western Aircraft has received approval to maintain and repair the equipment on air ambulances.

Western Aircraft is now able to provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and parts for air ambulances equipped with LifePort air medical equipment.

Founded in 1990, LifePort is a leader in the design, manufacture and certification of a broad range of mission equipment products for the aviation industry. It designs and fits medical equipment into all types of aircraft up to and including Boeing 737s.

“This unique equipment is critical to air medical operators completing their missions,” says Western Aircraft's director of aircraft services Jody Harris. “We are excited that we can provide the support required to help keep both patient and crews comfortable.”

Western Aircraft has provided support for a variety of air ambulance converted aircraft including Pilatus PC-12, Hawker, Falcon, Cessna Caravan and King Air models.

“We recently refurbished equipment from South Africa,” adds Harris. “The capability to accomplish work on this equipment without the aircraft coming into the facility is vital to the air ambulance operator.”
