Repair and maintenance specialist West Star Aviation has announced Jeremy Turnbough as its new paint programme manager at its East Alton facility. He has been with West Star for over 15 years, formerly serving as paint shop supervisor. His many years of experience with on-the-job training have equipped him well for this leadership role.

“Jeremy brings a long history within the paint shop and has shown his strong leadership skills to be beneficial in leading the department. We are happy to be able to continue to promote our internal employees and offer them expanded opportunities within West Star,” states general manager Scott Sweeney.

West Star has also named Rusty Gardner as the new avionics install manager at the same location. Gardner has over 19 years of aviation experience and formerly served as a project manager in the avionics department at West Star, along with previous positions held at Flying Colours, Jet Aviation and Duncan. He has also served in the Air Force for seven years as a guidance and control systems specialist.

“We're excited to promote Rusty to this position, as his strong avionics background will bring additional experience to the department as we continue to promote from within and grow our avionics team,” says Sweeney.
