Air Charter Scotland's Citations busy as it works towards 7X LCY approval

Air Charter Scotland took delivery of a Citation XLS+ in August and has been steadily increasing hours on its Falcon 7X, which arrived in December 2016. Commercial director Derek Thomson says: "The XLS+ adds to our existing Citation Excel and another XLS+. The Citation fleet has had a very busy year so far.

"As with everything in business, nothing is ever steady; there are peaks and troughs throughout the year. Our Citation jets may not be as busy in the winter as they are in the summer, but our 7X and Legacy jets are less seasonal. A mixed fleet means we can try and be busy throughout the year."

McMullan loves the range and performance of the 7X, and believes that the company could quite easily fill a fourth Citation. Air Charter Scotland is working towards London City approval for the 7X. "Once this is cleared, we will be able to go from London City to New York directly," Thomson continues. "We have gained accreditations such as Wyvern Wingman, FAA Part 129 approval, Visa Waiver Program membership and our Canadian foreign carrier certificate so North America is well covered for us."
