Silver Cloud Air has reinforced its fleet with the addition of a Citation XLS+. The jet joins the German AOC operator’s uniform fleet of XLS+ aircraft plus a CJ3. “We chose to invest in another Citation XLS+ because, with the exception of the CJ3, our entire fleet consists of this aircraft type, and this high level of fleet homogeneity significantly increases our operational efficiency,” explains the operator. “It streamlines procedures, reduces training and maintenance complexity, and provides greater reliability and planning security. In daily operations, the XLS+ has consistently proven to be both dependable and cost-efficient.
“The aircraft will be 100 per cent available for ad hoc charter requests, further enhancing our ability to respond quickly to short-notice missions. No owner approval necessary.”
The Citation XLS+ offers an exceptionally comfortable cabin, excellent short-field performance and a well-balanced combination of range, speed and operating costs.
A highlight of the Silver Cloud Air configuration on XLS+ D-CAFE is the integrated onboard coffee machine, enabling passengers to enjoy freshly brewed coffee during their flight – an extra touch that elevates the travel experience. “We can also serve hot meals, thanks to a microwave oven,” the spokesperson continues. “A full bathroom with toilet and large sink for guests’ privacy, as well as a refreshment bar, provide additional comfort.
“Adding another XLS+ increases our overall fleet flexibility and allows us to better accommodate peak demand. It enables more efficient aircraft scheduling and reduces the risk of operational downtime. A homogeneous fleet also simplifies crew planning, standardises maintenance processes and contributes to a smoother and more cost-effective operation overall.”
The Citation XLS+ is ideally suited for a wide variety of missions: from business travel to demanding operations on shorter or infrastructure-restricted runways. Typical mission profiles include corporate travel, VIP transport and individual private flights throughout Europe.
Silver Cloud Air reflects on a positive year: “Demand for our charter services has remained strong and even exceeded our expectations. We have seen particularly high utilisation in the short- and mid-range segments. Additionally, the expansion of our fleet with another Citation XLS+ has further strengthened our operational flexibility. Overall, we are very satisfied with how the year has developed.
“In the coming months, we intend to further improve our service quality and strengthen our position even more. Our focus is on maintaining high fleet availability, improving the customer experience and reaching new customer segments. We also plan to continue optimising our operational processes to operate even more efficiently. Our goal is to provide an outstanding and safe travel experience to both our longstanding clients and new customers while pursuing sustainable growth. We are also planning further fleet expansion in year 2026.”
