Having offered training for experienced pilots for almost 20 years, DRF Luftrettung's ATO is introducing a new basic course. It hopes to secure young talent for its own 29 HEMS bases across Germany.

The latest helicopter hoist operation simulator is based on augmented reality. It is mobile so can be used at different training sites, and it can be connected to the Reiser Full Flight Simulator Level D in Frankfurt.

A new helicopter FFS is the first of its kind in LAT's training fleet of over 55 units and will be put into operation at the training centre near Frankfurt airport. There have only been four H145 FFS on the market to date.
