DRF Luftrettung to exhibit at European Rotors
The focus will be on the offers and services from DRF Maintenance and DRF Akademie, including maintenance solutions and helicopter modifications as well as training in flight operations, maintenance and medicine.
DRF Luftrettung technicians carry out control and maintenance work in the 15 maintenance docks at its operations centre and adjacent workshops.

DRF Luftrettung will present its extensive range of services at the international helicopter trade show European Rotors from 5-7 November 2024 in Amsterdam.

“We are proud to be able to offer maintenance, CAMO and design organisation services for various helicopter types thanks to DRF Luftrettung’s various EASA approvals and certifications. At the trade show, we will be presenting a broad portfolio from a single source as a one-stop shop. We are able to meet very complex customer requirements thanks to our extensive expertise and over 50 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of helicopters for HEMS operation. This expertise makes us an indispensable partner for all aspects of helicopter operations,” explains Mirko Strauss, head of sales.

The focus will be on Part 145 services for the H155, EC155, H145, EC145, H135, EC135 and BO105 helicopter types. Experts will provide an insight into the portfolio of line and base maintenance with its specialised stores, eg for helmets and night vision devices. DRF Akademie will also be presenting its extensive training portfolio, which includes type ratings, advanced medical training and CRM training as well as technical training at the EASA Part 147-certified training school.

A helicopter model will be hovering above stand 4085, visualising an innovation from the design organisation: pulsing lights, LED lights installed on the aircraft that ensure greater visibility in airspace. The system developed and approved by DRF Luftrettung’s Part 21 J&G has already been installed in some of the EC135 and H145 helicopters. DRF Maintenance offers this modification to customers as a complete solution with installation in an aircraft or as an approved installation kit.

Another highlight at stand 5090 is the hoistAR hoist simulator developed with Reiser Simulation and Training. Mobile, adaptable to the individual needs of crews and combinable with the full flight simulator Level D H145/H135, DRF Luftrettung experts will use demos to show how pilots and hoist operators can train hoist operations in virtual space in a very real way, thus comprehensively expanding training options.
