The National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA's) Maintenance Committee has announced the recipients of 2020 Maintenance AMT Scholarships at the conclusion of the association's NBAA GO Virtual Maintenance Conference, which kicked off in May and ran through to July 27.

With the Maintenance AMT awards in hand, these award recipients will be able to attend model-specific courses at training centres offering aircraft, engine and avionics instruction. Dedicated to the promotion of technical education and training for maintenance personnel in the business aviation industry, the programme is open to current and aspiring A&P mechanics and military personnel who are making the transition to a civilian career in business aviation.

More than $400,000 in awards was presented to the recipients.

The 2020 Maintenance AMT recipients and their courses are:

- Joel Hale; Williams International, FJ series engine line maintenance

- Zachariah Service; Satcom Direct, one Aero IT certification course

- Kevin Yoreo; Williams International, FJ series engine line maintenance

- Ismael Velez Perez; Gulfstream Aerospace, Gulfstream G650\G650ER maintenance iniitial-GAC award

- Nathan Mann; GlobalJet Services, Any two-week initial course from catalogue includes up to $2,500 toward travel (excluding Gulfstream, Bombardier, Textron, Falcon maintenance initial)

- Cameron Pike; CAE, Lear 75 avionics five-day course

- Bailey Small; FlightSafety International, Gulfstream maintenance iniitial training programme

- Henri Delauze; FlightSafety International, PT6 turboprop engine line maintenance five-day course

- Paramut Jeasakul; Rolls-Royce, one engine course for Rolls-Royce engines currently in production

- Ryan Lewand; University of Southern California, aviation safety and security programme, any human factors course

- Howard Thomas; Abaris Training Resources, Inc., M1-R1 advanced composite structures: fabrication and damage repair (phase 1) five-day course

- Christian Wood; Textron Aviation, King Air 350 maintenance iniitial training 10-day course
