The expansion increases Textron Aviation's service capability across the Asia Pacific region while reinforcing Essendon Fields’ position as one of Australia's leading aviation hubs. The site spans 3,343sqm.

The approval applies across Textron’s service centre network in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast, establishing one of the most comprehensive OEM-owned support footprints in Australia.

The new facility doubles the footprint of Textron Aviation's previous Essendon Fields operation to more than 35,000 sq ft and is designed to support more than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft.
