Textron continues comprehensive APAC support
Textron Aviation acquired Premiair Aviation Maintenance, an Australian-based company, in 2020 as part of its commitment to offering customers factory-direct support. Partnerships have gone from strength to strength.
Textron has an impressive presence on the Gold coast.

Textron Aviation is celebrating five years of establishing OEM support in Australia, building upon the most robust service network in the industry and proudly serving Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker customers. The company provides customer support across the continent with operations in Perth at Jandakot airport, Melbourne at Essendon Fields airport and Gold Coast at Gold Coast airport. All three facilities offer a full range of quality services for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region including maintenance, modifications and overhaul repairs.

“Customers asked for more support in the APAC region, and we delivered by making investments in facilities and bolstering support for the more than 1,400 aircraft operating in Australia,” says Stefan Wenger, vice president, international service centres, Textron Aviation. “Celebrating five years in Australia marks a milestone of which we are incredibly proud, showing our commitment to designing and delivering the best aviation experience for our global customer base.”

Textron Aviation acquired Premiair Aviation Maintenance, an Australian based company, in 2020 as part of its commitment to offering customers factory-direct maintenance and support globally. With a team of experts offering more than two decades of experience in aircraft maintenance, the rebranded Textron Aviation Australia has Civil Aviation Safety Authority authorisation to work on the extensive lineup of Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft. Covering the West and East coast of Australia, each service centre has unique features and capabilities to deliver to customers in the APAC region.

Located at Jandakot Airport, the major general aviation airport in Western Australia and one of the busiest airfields and largest aviation training bases, the Perth service centre offers a full range of services including general maintenance, upgrades and AOG support. Textron announced in 2024 the Perth service centre had moved to a larger facility, providing additional space and schedule service for more aircraft to minimise down time and keep customers flying. The facility also provides a lounge for a more comfortable environment for customers and employees. Due to its Mediterranean climate, Perth continues to be a hub for general and business aviation with multiple flight schools due to its longer hours of sunlight and good weather.

Textron recently announced the company's continued footprint expansion in Australia with the construction of a larger and modernised service facility at Essendon Fields Airport, maximising support for Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker customers in the region. The new facility doubles the space of the current facility for servicing aircraft, aiding in faster scheduling with minimal down time to keep customers flying. The Melbourne service centre offers a full range of services including general maintenance, upgrades and AOG support. Located only 15 minutes from Melbourne central business district, Essendon Fields Airport has been serving the southeastern region of Australia since 1921, making it one of the world's oldest operating airports.

The Gold Coast service centre is unique for its close proximity to the South Pacific Ocean. Within walking distance of the beach, the service centre offers a full range of services including general maintenance, upgrades and AOG support. Known for tourism, Gold Coast Airport has been in operation since 1939 and is regarded as a gateway to Australia's top tourist destinations.

The manufacturer has a strong and robust customer support system around the world. The company operates a total of 11 North American service centres, nine international service centres and more than 60 mobile service units, with expert service engineers offering maintenance, inspections, parts, repairs, avionic upgrades, equipment installations, refurbishments and other specialised services.
