By building on its initial stake through SAFIDI, EDF is reinforcing its long-term support for low-carbon regional aviation and electric aircraft innovation.

The 11,000sq ft site will build Aura Aero’s ERA regional aircraft and create more than 1,000 high-skill jobs.

The announcement comes at a pivotal time, as both regulators and airlines intensify their focus on sustainable aviation solutions to decarbonise short-haul regional routes. Vaeridion and Aura are at the forefront.
