Heron adds Citation pair
Covering the medium and long-range markets with Learjet 60 and Falcon 900s respectively, Heron Aviation is adding cost-effective shorter range options in the form of Citation jets
Read this story in our April 2018 printed issue.

Germany's Heron Aviation has expanded its managed fleet with two Citations: a CitationJet and a CJ2+. The aircraft, immediately available for charter, are the first Cessna types that the operator will fly, as its existing fleet is made up of Dassault and Bombardier jets.

The Citations will be based in southern France and will enable Heron to offer an economical solution for shorter legs carrying five or six passengers. They will be serviced by its experienced CAMO team.

"We chose the Citations so that we can offer a light jet option to our clients for shorter European legs," says marketing executive Christina Guenes, who joined the team in January.

"We now have long, medium and short range aircraft in our fleet, and with this in mind we could add more destinations with short runways. "We are hoping to appeal to more customers in the Cannes and Nice region. There is great potential to attract clients such as yacht or property owners there."

The operator has seen an increase in charter activity of 11 per cent over the last 12 months. "We guarantee professionalism, punctuality and flexibility across our entire fleet," concludes Guenes.
