Rockwell Collins unveils Fusion for Cessna CJ1+ and CJ2+
Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+ owners will be able to upgrade their avionics with integrated Pro Line Fusion at Textron-owned service centres following FAA certification at the end of 2019.
Following FAA certification, the CJ1+/CJ2+ Pro Line Fusion upgrade will initially be available at Textron Aviation-owned service centres.

Rockwell Collins' Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics system will now be available as an upgrade for Cessna Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+ light business jets. Owners will have a new aftermarket option for NextGen airspace enhancements while adding the many other benefits of Pro Line Fusion.

This upgrade, for which FAA certification is expected by the end of 2019, is already certified and available for Citation CJ3 aircraft. Currently there are 30 CJ3s in service with Pro Line Fusion, and another 10 awaiting the installation.

Rockwell Collins vice president and general manager business and regional systems Christophe Blanc says: “The CJ3 Fusion upgrade has been very popular and we've received considerable feedback from CJ1+ and CJ2+ operators to the effect that they are eagerly waiting their turn. Treating the CJ1+, CJ2+ and CJ3 as one Pro Line Fusion product family allows us to pool our resources, ensuring continued strong investment and product support for years to come.”

Early installation of the upgrade will be available at Textron Aviation owned service centres following FAA certification.

Textron Aviation senior vice president Kriya Shortt adds: “Our continued customer investment extends to connecting them with innovative technology and services that make their flying and ownership experience the best in the industry. The Pro Line Fusion upgrade enables our CJ1+ and CJ2+ customers to easily meet the latest equipment mandates, while delivering cutting-edge performance to the Citation flight deck.”

The upgrade includes features designed to improve situational awareness and reduce pilot workload such as the ability to operate in modernising global airspace with localiser performance for vertical guidance (LPV) approaches and radius-to-fix (RF) legs, as well as additional options for ADS-B mandate compliance and SBAS capable GNSS. Standard high resolution synthetic vision includes a patented airport dome feature and extended runway centrelines. There are three touchscreen 14.1-inch widescreen LCDs with advanced graphics, configurable windows and eyes-forward, point-and-click navigation. Touch-interactive maps have high resolution topography, weather and obstacles plus geo-referenced electronic charts displaying own-aircraft position. Relevant charts are automatically staged by ChartLink per the flight plan.

Installation of the CJ1+/CJ2+ Pro Line Fusion upgrade will ultimately be available at all authorised Rockwell Collins dealers, as well as Textron-owned service centres.
