Amira Air is expecting the delivery of a Global XRS in 2009 strengthening its long range capability which is attracting large amounts of business from Russia. The Vienna-based private charter operator reports strong demand for its newly-delivered third Challenger 300 and for the fourth aircraft in its fleet, a Global Express.

The company says that there is growing demand in Russia for services to Europe, North America and Asia. "The demand comes from a variety of different passenger types," the company says. "There are a great many business people among our clients but there are also those who wish to make leisure trips."
