LEA enters long-haul operations with Legacy
London Executive Aviation has extended its fleet to 16 aircraft with the addition of its first large cabin jet, an Embraer Legacy. It already operates a range of aircraft, including a Citation Excel and a Citation Bravo.

London Executive Aviation has extended its fleet to 16 aircraft with the addition of its first large cabin jet, an Embraer Legacy. It already operates a range of aircraft, including a Citation Excel and a Citation Bravo.

The aircraft is configured to seat up to 12 passengers, with a range of 3,200 miles. The company said the aircraft will enable LEA to fly non-stop from the UK to more remote parts of Europe and the Middle East.

Although the company will manage the Legacy for its owner, the aircraft will have 100 per cent availability for third party chartering.

Commented md George Galanopoulos: "The addition of the Legacy marks the next phase in LEA's development, catering for larger groups and longer journeys. It means we can offer a truly pan-European non-stop service from London and serve destinations as far away as the Middle East.

"The Legacy has a beautifully appointed interior and we are confident it will be a popular choice for journeys such as investor roadshows, music tours and luxury family tours."

The aircraft will be based at Luton airport and is certified to fly from London City airport. LEA identified and sourced the Legacy directly from Embraer, which had operated it as a lightly used demonstration model.
