Clipper Aviation has signed an agreement for OperatorOS, Surf Air Mobility’s flight operations software for Part 135 operators, powered by Palantir Technologies. Under the agreement, Surf Air Mobility will earn a percentage of revenue for all Clipper flights managed through the OperatorOS software.
Clipper currently operates four aircraft from its headquarters at Van Nuys airport in Los Angeles. OperatorOS will help Clipper streamline and optimise aircraft and crew scheduling, generate actionable insights and clearer visibility into its operations and reduce manual processes through a single AI-enabled software platform.
Clipper Aviation president Charles Raffini says: “Operating a lean, focused organisation makes it critical that systems empower the team and scale with our expansion. OperatorOS is a platform built for growth, and we're excited to further automate and streamline our day-to-day operations.”
OperatorOS is designed to manage aircraft and crew scheduling, flight management, reporting and distribution for Part 135 operators. The software has been used internally to run Surf Air Mobility’s Southern Airways and Mokulele Airlines operations since 2025 and was recently approved by the Federal Aviation Administration as an authorised system of record for electronic signatures and record keeping.
SurfOS president Barrett Brown says: “We're glad to add Clipper Aviation to our growing list of OperatorOS contracts, and we are looking forward to helping make its operations more efficient. Bringing Clipper and other operators onto OperatorOS improves how our platform connects supply and demand, as every new aircraft that is added gives our broker network more inventory to choose from.”
Clipper is the fourth operator to sign a commercial OperatorOS agreement, following SprintBach Aviation, SkyDance Air and Air Fuga. Surf Air Mobility is targeting five operators live on OperatorOS by the end of 2026.
