Flying Zebra signs up to Surf Air's OperatorOS platform
New York-based PC-12 charter operator Flying Zebra has signed with Surf Air Mobility for OperatorOS, completing the company's stated goal of five commercial agreements by the end of this year.
It is hoped that signing up to the software will lead to a more efficient operation.

Charter operator Flying Zebra has signed a definitive agreement with Surf Air Mobility for OperatorOS, Surf Air Mobility's SurfOS flight operations software for Part 135 operators powered by Palantir Technologies. This contract is the company's fifth commercial OperatorOS agreement and will contribute to its goal of having five operators live on OperatorOS by the end of 2026. Surf Air Mobility will earn a percentage of revenue for all Flying Zebra trips managed through the OperatorOS software.

Barrett Brown, president of SurfOS for Surf Air Mobility, says: “With Flying Zebra, we now have five signed OperatorOS agreements. We committed to having five operators using the software by the end of the year, and getting each one onto the platform is our priority. We look forward to helping Flying Zebra run a more efficient operation.”

Flying Zebra currently operates four Pilatus PC-12 aircraft from its base in New York state. OperatorOS will help Flying Zebra streamline and optimise aircraft and crew scheduling, generate actionable insights and clearer visibility into its operations and reduce manual processes, all from a single AI-enabled software solution.

OperatorOS is designed to manage aircraft and crew scheduling, flight management, reporting and distribution for Part 135 operators. OperatorOS has been used internally to run Surf Air Mobility's own airline operations, Southern Airways and Mokulele Airlines, since 2025, and was recently approved by the FAA as an authorised system of record for electronic signatures and recordkeeping.

Each new operator on OperatorOS adds supply and operational data to the SurfOS platform which strengthens the supply and demand dynamics between OperatorOS and BrokerOS and improves distribution via the broker network using BrokerOS. SprintBach Aviation, SkyDance Air, Air Fuga and Clipper Aviation are already signed up with Surf.

Flying Zebra was founded in 2018 by Celine Lukic, who serves as CEO, and Glenn Allyn, who serves as director of operations and chief pilot.

“Operating a lean, focused organisation makes it critical that systems empower the team and scale with our expansion. OperatorOS is a platform built for growth, and we're excited to further automate and streamline our day-to-day operations,” states Charles Raffini, president of Clipper Aviation.
