San Francisco-based aviation software provider Portside has strengthened its senior leadership team. The company has appointed David Kim as chief product officer, promoted Roman Mogylatov to chief technology officer and added Jon Ingram as chief financial officer and Alexandra Davis as director of strategic programmes and chief of staff.
The changes follow Vista Equity Partners' investment in the company and Brandon Holden's appointment as chief executive in March, when he succeeded co-founder Alek Vernitsky. Kim will lead global product strategy, Mogylatov will oversee engineering and technology strategy, Ingram will manage financial strategy, planning and operations, and Davis will coordinate execution across product, go-to-market, customer experience and operations.
Kim joins with more than 15 years of experience building and scaling enterprise software and will focus on connecting Portside's products and data while advancing AI capabilities across aviation workflows. Mogylatov has been with Portside since its founding and has led the company's AI infrastructure work. Ingram will align investment with Portside's product, customer and growth priorities, while Davis will work closely with Holden's leadership team on the company's highest-priority initiatives.
Holden, chief executive, says: “This next stage of Portside is about focus and scale. We're going after a significant market opportunity, and capturing it takes the right technology foundation, clear product choices, disciplined investment and consistent execution across the business. David, Roman, Jon and Alexandra bring a powerful combination of deep Portside knowledge and outside experience to help us deliver on that.”
The appointments form part of a wider set of investments across Portside's technology, product, customer experience and go-to-market functions, following Vista's deepened investment aimed at accelerating platform integration and the company's AI-enabled roadmap. Insight Partners remains a significant shareholder. Continued development of Portside Horizon, the company's cloud-based flight management system, forms part of that roadmap. The company plans further updates ahead of the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas from 20 to 22 October 2026. Portside provides cloud-based, AI-enabled software for business and corporate aviation, government operators, commercial airlines and aircraft leasing and finance organisations, and employs more than 235 people serving over 1,100 enterprise customers worldwide.
