Farnborough makes changes to leadership team
Outgoing CEO Simon Greene becomes executive chairman as Marine Eugene joins Farnborough in his place.
Former NetJets and Flexjet high flyer Marine Eugene joins Farnborough airport as group CEO.

Farnborough airport in the UK has made changes to its senior leadership team. After more than six years as CEO, Simon Geere will become group executive chairman, with Marine Eugene joining the company as its group CEO. The changes will take effect from 1 September, 2026.

Eugene brings nearly 20 years’ experience in business aviation having held senior roles with both NetJets and Flexjet, two of Farnborough airport’s largest operators. Most recently she was a member of the management board of global digital investment platform Moonfare, where she oversaw the firm’s funds investor relations, marketing and client services functions. She says: “Farnborough airport is recognised across the world for its best-in-class facilities and outstanding service. The airport has a pivotal role in supporting UK economic growth, and I am tremendously excited about the opportunity to work closely with its business partners and stakeholders to ensure its future success.”

Susana Leith-Smith, senior managing director at Macquarie Asset Management, recognised Greene for his leadership and commitment over many years, saying: “We are particularly pleased he will continue to support the company as executive chair, providing continuity at an important time. We are also delighted to welcome Marine as CEO and look forward to her bringing deep sector experience as she leads the business into its next phase of growth.”

Geere adds: “It has been an immense privilege to have led the company during what has been a period of significant investment and strong financial growth. I am very much looking forward to working with Marine as we continue this incredible journey.”
