TrustFlight secures Smart Suggestions in Centrik 5
Smart Suggestions puts AI-powered features in Centrik 5 safety, quality and compliance software that flag reports of the same event or hazard, suggest best-fit report categories and recognise repeat audit findings.

TrustFlight has introduced Smart Suggestions, three AI-powered features in its Centrik 5 safety, quality and compliance software that flag reports describing the same event or hazard, suggest best-fit report categories and recognise repeat audit findings. Smart Suggestions is available now and rolling out to Centrik subscribers worldwide over the coming weeks at no additional cost, and marks the first wave of Centrik’s AI roadmap. Because the features use AI, switching them on is a simple opt-in, so each organisation decides when to start.

Centrik 5 is part of TrustFlight’s complete, end-to-end aerospace safety intelligence platform, which combines technology, training and emergency response capabilities to help operators strengthen safety performance across key operational roles and safety frameworks. With Smart Suggestions, that platform now applies AI directly inside the daily workflows of safety officers and auditors, resulting in less manual effort, more consistent data and systemic issues caught earlier.

The Same Event or Hazard Detection feature tackles one of the most common drains on a safety department’s time. When a new safety report arrives, Centrik automatically scans recent reports and flags those describing the same event or hazard. Safety officers can confirm, merge or link in a click, replacing the manual hunt through past reports and keeping each event or hazard captured in one place.

Suggested Categorisation brings consistency to how reports are classified. Centrik suggests the most likely categories for each safety report, learning from how the organisation has classified reports in the past. Officers see the best-fit suggestions to accept or adjust, speeding up processing and building the classification consistency that reliable analytics, trend analysis and regulator reporting depend on.

Repeat Findings Detection gives auditors a safety net in compliance. Centrik recognises when a new audit finding resembles findings from past audits and flags it, for example ‘Similar finding recorded in a previous audit of maintenance procedures’. The result is recurring problems spotted earlier, stronger corrective action and better evidence for trend analysis and regulator reporting.

Every suggestion is exactly that, a suggestion. Officers and auditors review and confirm or override before anything is saved. Centrik does not auto-merge reports, auto-classify occurrences or make safety decisions; the people accountable for safety remain in control at every step.

”Aerospace runs on data that people trust, and that trust is earned by getting the fundamentals right: clean reports, consistent classification and findings that never slip through the cracks,” says CEO Karl Steeves. “We are applying AI where it genuinely strengthens safety work: as suggestions a professional confirms, never as decisions made on their behalf. Smart Suggestions is the first wave of a sustained AI investment across the Centrik platform, and it is built with the same discipline that has kept Centrik at the heart of aerospace operational management for more than a decade.”

“Safety officers and auditors see simple suggestions within the workflow they already use,” adds product manager, Centrik Adam Ross. “When reviewing a new report Centrik shows you the similar reports you would otherwise hunt for and the categories your organisation would most likely apply, because it learns from your own operational history. Accept, adjust or dismiss: the suggestion takes a click, and the judgement stays with you.”

Smart Suggestions is the first wave of a broader AI roadmap for Centrik, with further intelligent features, including AI-assisted risk classification (ERC assessment), to follow. Separately, Centrik continues to deepen its integration with TrustFlight’s Smart Documents: operational manuals authored in Smart Documents publish directly into Centrik’s Documents module for distribution, electronic flight bag access and read-and-sign, keeping documentation and compliance activity connected in one environment.
