Experienced engineers join the fold at West Star
A respected aviation professional with decades of MRO experience, Jeff Messmer brings exceptional technical knowledge, industry expertise and a customer-first mindset to the role. Kyle Victor is a trusted asset.

West Star Aviation has appointed Jeff Messmer as manager of technical sales, supporting the company's operations at Perryville Regional Airport (PCD) in Perryville, Missouri. The company has also hired Kyle Victor as satellite manager for its Chicago Executive airport satellite location in Illinois.

A highly respected aviation professional with decades of MRO experience, Messmer brings exceptional technical knowledge, industry expertise and a customer-first mindset to the role. His promotion reflects not only his long-standing dedication to West Star Aviation, but also the trust he has built with customers and colleagues throughout his career. This September, Jeff will mark 15 years with West Star Aviation.

Victor brings more than 15 years of aviation maintenance experience across military manufacturing, commercial airlines and over a decade in corporate aviation. He spent the last 10 years at Priester Aviation, moving from maintenance control to aviation maintenance manager.

Based at West Star's Perryville facility, Messmer will continue bringing the same energy, dedication and technical insight that have defined his career. His promotion represents a meaningful next step for both Jeff and the team he supports, and it reflects West Star Aviation's ongoing commitment to matching expertise with customer needs.

Victor earned his A&P, began in military manufacturing, then moved to commercial operations and later to corporate aviation.

“This role touches many parts of the business,” Victor says. “I look forward to working with sales, customer experience, marketing and leadership to grow our presence on site and across the Chicago area. Our goal is simple: listen closely, respond quickly and deliver work that meets the highest standards, so we consistently exceed customer expectations.”

Known for a hands-on style, Victor emphasises teamwork, safety and service. “I roll up my sleeves and jump in with the team. Whatever needs doing, we do it together. Safety is not negotiable, and neither is taking care of our customers.”

“Kyle knows this industry and what our customers expect. He brings a practical approach, strong communication and a focus on quality,” adds Sharon Klose, general manager, satellites, who oversees West Star's satellite locations in Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Chicago and Addison.

“At our Chicago facility, we supported more than 400 aircraft last year. We provide seven-day daytime coverage today and will add second-shift coverage soon. We can complete 91.411/413 checks on site at our facility or at the customer's location, along with 12- and 24-month inspections, engine R&Rs, minor inspections, and pre- and post-flight support. With Kyle in place, we are positioned to serve operators even better every day and evolve into our customer's needs.”
