Jet Aviation has signed a 30 year lease with SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI) and Business Aviation Group (BA Group) to operate a new FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Colorado.

The facility will anchor the first phase of the SRAI Rocky Mountain aviation campus on the airport's south side, with construction expected to begin in early 2027 and operations planned for 2028.

The 15 acre development will include a 7,500 sq ft FBO, 70,000 sq ft of hangar space and more than 200,000 sq ft of ramp area. Located approximately 18 miles from downtown Denver, the airport serves the Denver-Boulder corridor and provides access to destinations including Aspen and Vail.

The project forms part of a broader aviation campus being developed by SRAI and BA Group. SRAI is leading investment, development and long-term ownership of the site, while BA Group is overseeing the wider south side development strategy and execution.

Jeremie Caillet, president, Jet Aviation, says: “We are committed to growing our network in ways that support our customers' evolving needs and enable them to operate their aircraft effortlessly. Our FBOs across the world have been carefully curated to offer seamless service in the destinations we know our customers are travelling to or have aircraft based in. Bringing the Jet Aviation experience to Colorado is the latest step in this global offering, as we continue to look for opportunities to support our customers where and when they need us.”

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is one of the region's busiest general aviation airports and has benefited from population growth, corporate activity and demand linked to leisure destinations across the Rocky Mountains. Recent infrastructure improvements, including Taxiway K, have supported further aeronautical development on the south side of the airfield.

David Best, senior vice president regional operations and GM Americas at Jet Aviation, says: “With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our US and international customers. The facility will join a network of 12 FBOs in the region and some 30 worldwide, enabling seamless connections for customers travelling to this popular destination.”
