Modern Aviation has opened a heated hangar and renovated FBO terminal at Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK) in Westhampton Beach, New York, with a ribbon cutting held on 25 June 2026.
The hangar provides 30,475 sq ft of climate-controlled space with a 28ft door clearance, supported by 2,250 sq ft of attached Class A office space. The facility is positioned adjacent to the airport's U.S. Customs and Border Protection office and offers direct ramp access to Gabreski's 9,000 ft runway, making it suitable for a broad range of aircraft including large-cabin international operations.
The development is intended to serve corporate flight departments, Part 91 and Part 135 operators, aviation service providers and office users requiring direct airfield access. Alongside the hangar, Modern Aviation has completed a full renovation of its existing FBO terminal at the site.
“We are excited to celebrate the opening of the new hangar facility and the reopening of the renovated FBO terminal at Francis S. Gabreski Airport,” says president and CEO Mark Carmen. “This investment reflects our commitment to the markets and communities we serve and strengthens our ability to provide customers with the high-quality facilities, convenience and outstanding service they expect from Modern Aviation.”
Francis S. Gabreski Airport serves the Hamptons and eastern Long Island, a market that has seen sustained demand from business aviation traffic, particularly during summer months. The completed facility represents a significant infrastructure commitment by Modern Aviation to the region.
