Bombardier expands in Singapore with second Seletar facility
The investment is expected to increase maintenance capacity, add re-completion services and create more than 200 aerospace jobs.
Singapore remains a key part of Bombardier's Asia-Pacific network, hosting its largest regional parts hub and a customer response centre.

Bombardier plans to expand its Singapore service centre footprint at Seletar Aerospace Park with a new 250,000 sq ft facility that will significantly increase its maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with operations expected to commence in H2 2028. The facility will sit alongside Bombardier's existing Singapore service centre and forms part of a planned SGD100 million investment by a local developer.

The site is expected to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, avionics installations and round-the-clock aircraft-on-ground support. It will also add aircraft re-completion capabilities, including paint and interior finishing, alongside a dedicated component repair and overhaul workshop.

Paul Sislian, executive vice president, aircraft sales and Bombardier aftermarket services at Bombardier, says: “Our Singapore service centre has long been a cornerstone of service and support excellence in Asia-Pacific, supporting approximately 2,000 aircraft annually as regional demand continues to grow.”

Bombardier expects the development to create more than 200 highly skilled jobs over time, adding to a local workforce of more than 300 employees, including approximately 250 licensed engineers and technicians. The project represents the company's third major expansion in Singapore since 2014 and further strengthens what it describes as the region's largest OEM-operated business aviation service facility.

Alongside the expansion, Bombardier has joined the A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre industry consortium as an anchor member. The collaboration is intended to accelerate the adoption of digitalisation, artificial intelligence and automation technologies across maintenance operations.
