India's Trans Bharat will welcome region's first B407GXi
The aircraft not only enhances the operator's capabilities, but also strengthens its ability to serve communities right across India. Trans Bharat is excited to bring this ultra-modern platform to the country.
This is a pivotal moment for Trans Bharat, which is already a significant Bell operator.

Trans Bharat Aviation Private, one of India's most established non-scheduled rotary-wing operators, has placed an order with Bell Textron for the country's first Bell 407GXi helicopter.

Founded in 1990, Trans Bharat Aviation has been a trusted Bell customer for decades, operating a fleet that includes the Bell 206B3 and the 407. The acquisition of the Bell 407GXi will extend Trans Bharat's legacy of innovation and operational excellence, equipping the company with cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving demands of high-altitude hill operations, utility surveys and corporate transport throughout India.

Trans Bharat Aviation has always been committed to delivering excellence in aviation, and the addition of the Bell 407GXi to our fleet is a reflection of that commitment,” says Siddharth Shankaran, CEO, Trans Bharat Aviation. “This aircraft not only enhances our operational capabilities but also strengthens our ability to serve communities right across India. We are excited to bring this state-of-the-art platform to the country and believe the 407GXi will be instrumental in connecting underserved communities, including through our participation in the UDAN regional connectivity scheme.”

“The sale of the first Bell 407GXi in India reflects the confidence that operators like Trans Bharat Aviation place in Bell aircraft,” adds David Sale, managing director, Asia Pacific, Bell. “This aircraft represents the ideal combination of advanced avionics, exceptional performance and reliability for the diverse and challenging missions flown across India. We are honoured to support Trans Bharat Aviation as it continues to set new benchmarks in the Indian aviation industry.”

Trans Bharat Aviation's Bell 407GXi will join a global fleet of more than 1,500 Bell 407s that have collectively logged over six million flight hours across utility, corporate, air medical and public safety missions worldwide.

As one of the oldest non-scheduled operators in India, Trans Bharat Aviation has consistently demonstrated its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety, engineering and operational integrity. With its investment in the Bell 407GXi, Trans Bharat Aviation continues to lead the way in sustaining flight and advancing the aviation industry in India.
