The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
Modern Aviation has launched a national initiative with American Art Collector and MediaJet to integrate museum-quality fine art into its FBO terminals across the United States.
Set to begin this summer, the programme introduces rotating exhibitions across selected locations, positioning terminals as spaces for both travel and cultural engagement. Each installation will feature collector-grade works curated in partnership with regional galleries.
The initial rollout covers four locations: Denver, Seattle, the Hamptons and the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex. The sites were selected for their combination of strong private aviation traffic and established art communities.
The exhibitions allow travellers to view and purchase artwork directly within the terminal, merging convenience with curated access to contemporary artists. The format aims to simplify acquisition while broadening exposure for galleries and creators.
Although luxury retail has become common in private aviation terminals, the introduction of museum-quality art at a national level represents a shift in how these spaces are used. Each display is structured as a gallery-style environment tailored to a travelling audience.
“We are excited to partner with American Art Collector and Media Jet on this innovative programme,” says Mark Carmen, CEO of Modern Aviation. “At its core, this collaboration is about elevating our clients’ experience by bringing culture, creativity and a sense of discovery into our FBO terminals. At the same time, it allows us to support local artists and galleries in the communities we serve in a way that feels authentic and distinctly Modern Aviation.”
American Art Collector co-publishers Wendie Martin and Adolfo Castillo say the initiative builds on the publication’s long-standing role in contemporary realism, extending it into a physical environment aligned with premium travel.
