Textron rolls out Gogo 5G upgrade for Citations
Upgrade brings quicker speeds and stronger cabin WiFi to multiple aircraft types, with further models expected to follow after additional certification.
The addition brings faster data speeds, reduced latency and stronger cabin WiFi performance, supporting applications such as streaming, video conferencing and cloud-based workflows across multiple devices.

Textron Aviation has introduced Gogo 5G as a connectivity upgrade for its Citation aircraft, expanding high-speed inflight internet capability across a wide portion of the fleet.

The aftermarket solution is now available for models including the Citation Longitude, X+, X, Sovereign+, Sovereign, Latitude, XLS Gen2, XLS+, XLS and Excel, following Federal Aviation Administration supplemental type certification. Installations can be completed at Textron Aviation service centres, either as a full Avance Gogo 5G system or as an upgrade to existing Avance equipment.

“Reliable, high-speed connectivity is essential for today's operators, whether they're conducting business in flight or supporting passengers who expect a seamless digital experience,” says Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, customer support at Textron. “Expanding 5G capability across our fleet reinforces our commitment to investing in technologies that elevate the ownership experience and ensure our aircraft remain leading tools for business and travel.”

Further expansion is planned, with Citation CJ4, CJ3+ and CJ3 aircraft expected to gain compatibility once certification is completed.
