Universal Aviation has opened a purpose-built FBO and general aviation terminal at Guadalajara International Airport, adding dedicated business aviation infrastructure in one of Mexico’s fastest-growing markets.
Developed with AeroSafin and supported by airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, the facility is expected to begin operations in the coming days following an inauguration event attended by operators, officials and regional leaders.
The site spans around 362,000 sq ft and includes a 51,700 sq ft hangar capable of accommodating aircraft up to BBJ 737 size, alongside a 22,000 sq ft passenger terminal with onsite customs and immigration, VIP lounges, crew areas and conference rooms.
“Guadalajara is one of Mexico's most important business aviation markets, and we believe operators coming here should be welcomed by infrastructure that reflects the importance of the city and the standards they expect,” says Greg Evans, managing principal, Evans Aviation. “This investment is about more than opening a new facility. It is about strengthening our long-term commitment to Mexico, elevating the ground experience and building the kind of modern, high-capability platform that supports the future of business aviation in this market. We are also grateful to GAP for its vision in creating a dedicated area for general aviation and for its support in making this project possible through a shared effort to improve operations and raise the standard for business aviation in Guadalajara.”
The hangar includes direct taxiway access, multiple airside entry points and a column-free span to support aircraft movement, with the facility designed for both transient operations and long-term basing.
An onsite Air Culinaire Worldwide kitchen extends catering capability across the region, while security measures include controlled access, CCTV coverage and coordination with local authorities.
The facility supports both short-stop users and based operators, offering handling services, office space, lounges and 24/7 operational support.
