Business aviation commences at Tashkent-Humo
Uzbekistan has opened a dedicated business aviation airport in Tashkent, offering controlled operations, enhanced privacy and improved efficiency for charter flights.

The Republic of Uzbekistan’s Tashkent-Humo airport has officially commenced operations as a modern airport dedicated to business aviation. Effective from 17 February 2026, all business aviation operators planning charter flights to Tashkent are required to indicate Tashkent-Vostochny (also known as Tashkent-East) as the destination aerodrome in flight applications and flight plans. This replaces Tashkent International airport for such operations.

The airport operates in a specialised format focused on business aviation, with the absence of scheduled passenger services and restricted public traffic access helping maintain a controlled and calm operational environment. This ensures a high level of comfort, discretion and efficiency for VIP and corporate clients.

Dedicated access roads and a secure airport setting further enhance operational control. For flight crews, the airport layout eliminates the need to transit through main passenger terminals, reducing delays and improving turnaround efficiency. While Tashkent-Humo is located slightly farther from the city centre, transfer times remain consistent at approximately 25–30 minutes, helping operators avoid traffic congestion.

The transition of business aviation operations to Tashkent-Humo reflects Uzbekistan's broader efforts to modernise and segment aviation infrastructure to better accommodate growing demand in business aviation.

Gaipov Shukurjon Umarovich, director of Tashkent-Humo International airport LLC, says: “The launch of Tashkent-Humo represents a strategic milestone for Uzbekistan's aviation sector. By establishing a dedicated airport for business aviation, we are strengthening operational efficiency, privacy and service standards aligned with international expectations. This step supports growing charter traffic while maintaining high levels of security and passenger comfort.”

With established experience across Central Asia, FCG Ops provides full aviation support services throughout Uzbekistan, including overflight and landing permits, ground handling coordination, fuel arrangements, on-site supervision and 24/7 operational support. An experienced FCG Ops dedicated on-site supervisor is present at Tashkent-Humo to oversee each operation and coordinate with local handling and fuel teams, ensuring smooth operations under the new regulatory framework.

Sergey Starkov, CEO of FCG Ops, comments: “The designation of Tashkent-Humo as the primary gateway for business aviation flights reflects the continued development of the market in Uzbekistan. Our role is to ensure operators experience this transition as seamless and predictable. With dedicated on-site supervision and established local partnerships, we deliver transparent coordination and operational reliability in Tashkent and across the region.”

Uzbekistan continues to position itself as a key hub in Central Asia for business and infrastructure projects. The establishment of a dedicated business aviation airport in Tashkent further supports international operators seeking efficiency, discretion and structured procedures.
