Southern Sky customs opens gateway to international arrivals
The designation as a Point of Entry allows the FBO to process international arrivals on-site, offering an alternative to larger, more congested airports.
The facility is housed in a newly renovated building designed to streamline arrivals and maintain passenger flow through to onward destinations.

Southern Sky Aviation has opened a new U.S. Customs facility at its Pascagoula, Mississippi location, expanding international access through Trent Lott International Airport (KPQL).

The new site establishes Trent Lott International Airport as a fully operational Port of Entry for business aviation traffic. Participation in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Reimbursable Services Program supports 24/7 availability and improved throughput during peak periods.

“We are proud to welcome U.S. Customs and Border Protection to Southern Sky Aviation at Trent Lott International Airport,” says Darryl Brewer, president of FBO operations at Southern Sky Aviation. “Its presence transforms PQL into a true Port of Entry and positions our airport to serve international aviation operations with professionalism, security and southern hospitality service.”

Alongside the customs capability, the site is expanding infrastructure with 121,500 square feet of additional ramp space under construction, including a second fuel connector point to improve operational efficiency. Existing hangar space totals 67,000 square feet and accommodates aircraft up to Gulfstream 650 size.

The FBO continues to offer full ground handling services, including fuelling, cargo operations and maintenance, supported by passenger amenities such as a lounge, conference room and café.
