Nimbl SLOA guide streamlines FAA LOA approval
By formalising the SLOA approach in a concise guide, Nimbl supports more consistent compliance practices and helps operators move through approvals with fewer delays.
Operators can now bundle multiple LOA applications into a single submission, removing sequential filings and shortening approval timelines.

Nimbl has released a mini guide explaining the FAA’s Streamlined Part 91 Approval Process for Letters of Authorization, aimed at helping operators navigate SLOA submissions more efficiently.

The guide outlines eligibility criteria, highlights the benefits of the streamlined pathway and sets out a practical submission approach. Operators can use it to bundle multiple LOA applications into a single filing, reducing the need for sequential submissions and shortening approval timelines.

Developed in collaboration with the FAA and industry stakeholders, the process has been shaped with input from Clément Meersseman, VP of strategic partnerships at Nimbl. The model allows flight departments to consolidate applications, improving clarity and reducing administrative burden.

“We recognised that the LOA application process can be somewhat daunting for operators,” says Clément Meersseman, VP of strategic partnerships at Nimbl. “By working closely with the FAA, manufacturers, training institutions and stakeholders to support the development of a streamlined approach, it's now possible for flight departments to secure multiple LOAs more efficiently. This guide provides operators with information they need to use the streamlined process, thereby improving efficiency without compromising safety.”
